Coosa Valley Regional Services and Development Corporation
Coosa Valley Regional Services and Development Corporation (CVRSDC) is a stand-alone, not-for-profit, 501-C-3 Georgia Corporation. Originally founded to provide housing, the corporate focus today and for many years past is on Seniors’ well-being, providing meals on wheels and Homemaker services to homebound Seniors, providing fellowship, activities and lunch to Senior Centers.
CVRSDC’s home office is in Rome, Georgia, and serves the ten county region of Northwest Georgia, including Haralson, Paulding, Bartow, Polk, Floyd, Gordon, Chattooga, Dade, Catoosa and Walker counties. In addition to the home office this corporation functions in twelve satellite locations, Tallapoosa, Dallas, Cartersville, Cedartown, Rockmart, Rome, Calhoun, Summerville, Trenton, Chickamauga and LaFayette.
CVRSDC’s organizational structure includes a Board of Directors representing the ten counties in the region. The Board selects new members as needed. Board members are not appointed by local governments. Board officers include President, Vice President, and Secretary. The Board hires an Executive Director to implement its decisions and policies.
